The Eberlestock Skycrane II is one of the only truly modular backpacks on the market. This pack consists of three packs that can be combined into one large pack or each pack can be used separately depending on your needs.
The Skycrane II modular backpack includes the G1 Little Brother pack with its own shoulder harness, as well as an LP1 fanny pack top lid as well as it's own side compartments when both other packs are removed.
This modular backpack allows you to carry an oversized load, and then downgrade to either the G1 Little Brother itself, or the Skycrane system with the G1 removed, for lighter more compact mobility. The G1 Little Brother seats into the Skycrane with it's own shoulder harness still assembled, making downgrading fast and simple. In addition to all of that, this modular backpack also allows you to carry oversized loads by removing the Little Brother and using the straps and harness to secure any odd shaped load to the frame.
